Information Management Officer

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensure a database is created and data is analyzed as required

Design/develop, test, maintain, support and improve the database and database management systems for all portfolio projects 

Develop appropriate templates for data collection, beneficiary records, phone call activities’ tracking sheet

Participate in developing and designing a database that maintains and organizes WVL's Cash and Livelihood activities data and provides support in reporting, project tracking and data analysis; 

Manage data systems according to internal protocols and strategy development

Collect data in a logical and coherent system that can be readily archived

Analyze and report regularly to the CARC on the progress and quality of the data; 

Coordinate with IMO National level to ensure standardization of beneficiary data management processes and tools.

Produce and file statistical and graphical reports.

Deal with beneficiaries’ information in strict confidentiality

Support in data quality checks, reconciliations and preparation of reports

Perform data quality checks on beneficiary lists in order to ensure the lists are complete, accurate and reliable. Liaise with Project Managers and CARC to highlight any missing information

Establish a mechanism that enables to link the beneficiary database to the DMT reports.

Support in the compilation of food and livelihood project information (including warehouse reports, distribution records, and cash for work beneficiary count) and ensure data are properly entered into the Database in order to facilitate the reconciliation on later stage.

Ensure Networking and Capacity Building

Build the capacity of WVL Akkar livelihood team in terms of database use (including basic analysis) through on-going support and training; 

Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support to field staff when needed

Attend related trainings and capacity Building Workshops

Attend and participate actively in working group meetings and share relevant information with the management.

Perform other duties as required

Attend and participate in capacity building trainings locally and internationally.

Attend and participate in WVL’s spiritual nurture and other organizational events.

Responsible of own security and actively contribute to a positive security culture.

Abide by the security policies and procedures and report any incidents or breaches to line manager and / or security manager.

Perform other duties as assigned by the Line Manager

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Bachelor degree in Software Engineer, Data Analysis or any relevant field of study or 3 years of equivalent experience.

Previous experience in managing organizational data of different projects

Experience working with online databases and GIS application (Optional).

Ability to consolidate information into visual presentations (factsheets, charts, graphs, tables)

Previous experience in mapping workflows, information and processes.

Fluent with Microsoft application such as Excel and Access

Good written and spoken English. Knowledge of Arabic language is an added advantage.
