ABOUT THE STRUCTURE…

Solidarités International is an International NGO working with vulnerable populations, mainly victims of armed conflicts and natural disasters. Specialized for nearly 40 years in the coverage of vital needs, S.I. takes charge of emergency and reconstruction programs.

With respect for cultures and close to the people, Solidarités International implements its programs by combining its skills with those of its employees and local managers.

Solidarités International's teams, made up of around 270 expatriates and nearly 2200 local employees, are today present in 18 countries in Asia, Middle East, Africa and Caribbean where they are particularly committed to fighting diseases related to unsafe water but also in the essential area of food security and livelihoods.

ABOUT THE JOB

The Cash distribution officer will be required to:

Cash Distribution  Activities:

• Identification of target group, plan adequate activities and update tools related to the needs
• Take part in the initial rapid needs assessment at household level to identify the vulnerability level of the HH and report any specificity
• Under the responsibility of the line manager (AM), take part in logistical and administrative organization, planning, and preparation of activities
• In coordination with the MEAL department, take part to the complaint mechanism dissemination and referrals process
• Ensure the cash distribution to targeted HH according to the agreed modalities
• Supervise the progression of the activity on a regular basis and provide advice upon request
• Report information on activity progression
• Take part in post-intervention monitoring upon request

Reporting / Communication / representation

• Keep his/her monitoring tools and files archived in the Solidarities office, accessible to his/her WASH & Shelter Activity Manager.
• Take part in the drafting of project progress reports under the supervision of the WASH & Shelter Activity Manager.
• Take part in seminars and workshops related to the carrying-out of activities and to project objectives when requested by the WASH & Shelter Activity Manager or WASH Program Manager.
• Report to the WASH & Shelter Activity Manager the progress of the activities he/she is in charge of according to Solidarities International reporting template.
• Report the construction progress to the management and update the relevant formats and databases for the construction activities;
• Report back all information or problems linked to his/her activity, Solidarities programs or safety issues.
• Contribute to input final and intermediary report       
• Give information to the beneficiaries about SI mandate, activities, results and about external actors and represent SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL when necessary
• Facilitate, build up and maintain good relationships with the beneficiaries. 
•  Communicate with other SI activities and departments for the daily activities

The Cash distribution Officer may be asked to drive SI cars and respecting the driving policies set by the logistic department and attached to this document.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

• Degree in Economic school, Business management or equivalent
• Previous experience in cash distribution project
• Previous experience in humanitarian field is preferable
• Fluent spoken and written Arabic
• Strong technical skills
• Basic reporting skills
• Strong social and communication skills
• Calm, diplomatic, understanding problem solver and patient
• Basic knowledge of office software’s
• Knowledge of the implementation zone (Beirut area)
• Valid driving license

Under the hierarchical authority of:    Shelter Activity Manager

A salaried post: 1,160 USD – Basic salary

Vacation: 1.5 Paid Leaves/month
