The community relations consultant is responsible for coordinating with local authorities and actors to ensure the security, strong relations and public coordination.

The Community Relations Consultant will be responsible to:

• Develop knowledge of the organization and the message(s) it wishes to impart.
• Ascertain the communities which the organization wishes to reach, and determine the appropriate means of communicating with each community.

• Communicate and coordinate directly and periodically with local authorities, municipalities, stakeholders, organizations and actors to ensure full coordination on the project activities as well as strong relations and security for the project.
• Design a plan enabling the organization to impart its message to the targeted communities.
• Assist with implementation of the community relations plan as approved by the organization’s management.
• Assist with the design and production of communication tools and conducting outreach and involvement activities as appropriate.
• Provide the client with periodic and final reports assessing the community relations program on both a quantitative and qualitative basis.
• Provide ongoing follow-up and interaction with targeted communities as needed.
