The Supervisor works closely under the management of the Head of Project and is responsible for the daily implementation of field activities carried out by the field officers and daily workers and of ensuring quality of the interventions.
S/he is in charge of adequate planning of teams work and communicates field needs to mobilize adequate resources on time.
The Supervisor works on the field and communicates with relevant stakeholders and partners on the ground to coordinate interventions avoiding duplication and ensuring targeting of those most in need. From the field, the Supervisor will timely report any change in context that may affect the intervention and will consult with the Head of Project to identify adequate solutions and adapt activities accordingly.
Key activities in your role will include
Objective 1: Implementation of activities for the Beirut response – assessment and CBI (40%)
1 Organize the work of field teams to conduct assessment and respond to the identified needs as per project deliverables
2 Participate in and supervise the collection, entry and analysis of quantitative and qualitative data
3 Coordinate with the relevant departments sharing activity workplan to mobilize necessary resources and organize logistic of the intervention
4 Apply a protection lens throughout the process in order to detect protection needs and refer to the appropriate actor (either within ACF or external referral)
5 Conduct regular context analysis based on observations and communication with key stakeholders and consult with the HoP to inform the implementation of the project accordingly
6 Use RIMS to send and respond to referrals
Objective 2: Team management (40%)
1 Supervise the staff under his/her supervision to ensure they are working effectively and to the best of their capacity
2 Participate in staff training, helping to build technical capacity of staff.
3 Provide coaching and on the job support through regular field visits to ensure quality implementation of activities ensuring safety and dignity of the right-holders
4 Support the relations with other AAH staff in the base, the support staff and M&E staff
5 Helps to develop and execute context-specific solutions to improve collaboration, coordination and performance of the AAH staff.
Objective 3: Field monitoring and Reporting (20%)
1 Regular reporting the progress of the intervention to the HoP, flagging any deviance from plan
2 Report possible problem or conflict during the activities.
3 Contribute to internal and external reporting as per project reporting deadlines
4 Data collection regarding the project and the potentials beneficiaries.
5 Data monitoring spot checks and follow up with HoP
Objective 4: Security
1 Respect the security rules specified in the mission and base security plan, see to it that the team under his/her responsibility complies with the security plan and perform the security management tasks that can be assigned in its protocols.
2 Communicate to the security managers of the working location any security related information or noncompliance with the security plan
Objective 5: Support humanitarian activities of Action Against Hunger
1 Support the emergency interventions of the organization as per the employee’s abilities.
2 Support any activity that helps reaching our humanitarian goals, as per the employee’s abilities.
3 Promote gender equality and protection mainstreaming within the humanitarian and/or development work
Do you meet the profile required criteria?
Training/ Education:
Bachelor’s degree in BA, Social science and humanity OR a combination of education and relevant experience in the humanitarian sector
Technical specific knowledge:
- Knowledge of Cash-Based Interventions (CBI)
- Team management
- Data collection and analysis (Kobo, ArcGIS)
Previous experience:
At least 3 years’ experience in supervising position within national/international organization Experience in leading and manage team
Experience in humanitarian sector in a similar position
Personal requirements:

Languages:
Fluent Arabic, fluency in written and spoken English
IT and specific systems:
