Tasks and responsibilities
- Verify and translate Lebanese and Syrian civil status documents and communicate with authorities and legal advisors
- Provide different kinds of consular services to Swiss citizens and foreigners
- Receive and process applications related to legislations and attestations
- Deal professionally with all applicants, whether over the phone, via e-mail or in person
- Provide professional, accurate, timely and appropriate advice on written enquiries of applicants and authorities
- Provide general support to the visa section and other divisions of the Embassy if needed
Competencies and selection criteria
- Exceptionally high personal and moral integrity and the ability to work with people of different nationalities and cultural backgrounds
- Highly proficient in spoken and written Arabic, French and English, German language proficiency is of high advantage
- E-mail writing skills and excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to connect and work well with others
- Ability to stay calm, polite and effective under pressure. Ability to consistently work with utmost precision.
- Exhibit high level of confidentiality, reliability and professional attitude
- Excellent organizational and administrative skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines independently
- Responsible and reliable team player
- Very good computer skills (Microsoft Office Applications: Outlook, Word and Excel)
Education and experience
- Minimum of 5 years professional experience in administration and consular business
- Diploma in Business Administration / Bachelor in a related field
