Psychologists : Bekaa / or Saida ( 2 staff)

Position objective :

The psychologist role is to conduct psychosocial support trainings for youth and organize, lead and supervise peer to peer activities with children and adolescents.

Reporting:

• The psychologist will report to the Project coordinator.
• He/ She will work closely with the Project coordinator, and Dawaer team

Duties and responsibilities:

• Conduct psychosocial support/psychological first aid trainings.
• Prepare tools and materials needed for the trainings
• Organize, supervise, and facilitate the peer to peer activities conducted by youth
• Submit weekly reports to the Project coordinator
• Coordinate with the social worker and assist in planning and implementing assessments and surveys as required
• Attend required meetings
•  Reflect vision and values of Dawaer when interacting with youth, volunteers, and beneficiaries
• Perform other relevant duties as required.

Skills : 

• Ability to facilitate support group sessions
• Ability to provide follow-up and to monitor as per mental health professional’s recommendations
• Ability to conduct a full assessment of a person’s needs
• Excellent computer skills (Word & excel)
• Passion for and understanding of humanitarian issues
• Excellent and inspiring communicator
• Self- motivated, and adaptable to different cultures and people.
• Experience in providing support to communities on Peace Building and Social Cohesion
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
•  Good communication and reporting

Experience and Knowdge: 

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related to Psychology, social worker and related fields.
• Previous experience in Psychology OR in social work OR in nursing with previous experience in mental health and psychosocial support
