Outreach Officer

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Identifying SMEs that align with MARCH’s mission, vision and values promoting inclusivity of all communities and backgrounds willing to employ vulnerable youths from the organization’s beneficiary pool;
  • Ensuring identified SMEs’ meet MARCH’s eligibility criteria (e.g. decent work conditions; Lebanese owned and registered; 6+ employees);
  • Ensuring identified SMEs’ compliance with MARCH’s policies and guidelines including “Do No Harm”;
  • Scoping identified SMEs’ needs and subsequently cross-referencing them with the skillsets available within MARCH’s current and past beneficiary pool;
  • Introducing MARCH’s program and pitching the job placement initiative to potential partner SMEs that demonstrate reluctance or apprehension about hiring vulnerable youths;
  • Identifying potential risks and threats that may impede the successful integration of MARCH youth within said SMEs with the support of the organization’s experts;
  • Mitigating to the greatest extent possible the risks and threats identified;
  • Prepping and briefing beneficiaries for the workplace with support of MARCH’s on-the-ground team;
  • Developing beneficiary progress report template with the support of MARCH’s experts to monitor youths’ performance within job position provided;
  • Carrying out regular follow-ups with SMEs following the commencement of job placement period;
  • Providing MARCH with briefs following each meeting with potential partner SMEs;
  • Providing MARCH with weekly progress reports on status of placed beneficiaries as well as beneficiaries’ whose status is pending;
  • Regularly liaising with donor to ensure efficient and swift coordination with MARCH;
  • Conducting a regular follow-up on financial obligations of SMEs vis-à-vis placed beneficiaries.

 

Requirement and Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in human resources, marketing, public relations or other related fields;
  • 3+ of experience in outreach, job creation and job management;
  • Strong command of both Arabic and English;
  • Experience in the humanitarian field;
  • Experience in payroll management;
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Ability to work in cultural and religious sensitive contexts;
  • Ability to operate in marginalized communities;
  • Ability to work and manage deliverables on a strict deadline.
