Protection Community Mobilizer

Job Summary

The community mobilizer will be under the protection department in the emergency response team in Beirut, he/she will be reporting directly to the Protection Team Leader.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Liaise with local authorities, partners, community, and project team to guarantee the smooth operation of the activities
2. Conduct frequent field visits to all project sites to ensure that community is involved in the project strategy.
3. Inform the community on the date and venue of the awareness raising sessions about SGBV, Protection in general, and Safe identification and referrals in the area.
4. Provide correct information to the beneficiaries on the scope and strategy of the project
5. Produce timely reports for internal use on the activities highlighting best practices and lessons learnt.
6. Attend protection team weekly meetings.
7. Outreach and door to door visit to reach all the people who are in need for the services.
8. Support the social worker and the case worker whenever it is needed.
9. Supporting the Case workers with the attendance sheet during the sessions
10. Reaching the people in need for PFA or PSS out through phone calls or visiting homes of the right holders.
11. Refer all the in-need cases for the eligible services.
12. Follow up on all the referred cases.
13. Distribute dignity kits and other kits and materials in the intervention areas.
14. Ensure that data for the distributed dignity kits is accurately collected on a weekly and monthly basis.
15. Other related tasks: supporting the case workers and Social Workers in the events preparations, visits, data entry and during the PSS group sessions.
16. Perform any other tasks as requested by the team leader

Job related Experience and Knowledge

• • Minimum one year of experience in INGO or local NGO related to communities outreach activities.
  • Understanding and good knowledge of protection principles, humanitarian principles, and emergency field.
  • Good computer skills, able to use Microsoft and Excel word.
  • Good communications skills, facilitation skills and coordination skills.
