Nurse / Vaccinator (Akkar)

           

Summary

The Nurse / Vaccinator will be vaccinating children crossing the Lebanese-Syrian borders in the North / Akkar and will be involved in data entry. The Nurse will also provide key messages on health and nutrition topics to the children and their caregivers.

 

 Responsibilities and Essential Functions
  • Screen and vaccinate all children crossing Akkar borders
  • Enter data on a daily basis and submit them to MoPH IT.
  • Collect data related, mainly, to COVID-19
  • Cooperate with Data Entry Officers in case data was required to be verified and corrected.
  • Prevent and combat the spread of infection in the health Center or field by applying all measures for disinfection and sterilization
  • Provide key messages on health and nutrition topics to caregivers
  • Conduct awareness sessions on health issues, mainly on COVID-19.
  • Attend IOCC-related staff meeting when required
  • Perform any additional tasks as requested by the supervisor

 

Qualifications

  • Fluency in reading/writing/speaking Arabic is necessary
  • Good public speaking and communication skills
  • Strong social, interpersonal and intercultural skills
  • Team spirit
  • Able to meet deadlines
  • Computer literacy: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.
  • Experience required: 1 to 2 years
