Graphic Designer & Videographer

  1. Videography:
  • Visiting URDA’s different project sites to capture studio-quality photographs and videos under all circumstances and at different times.
  • Ensuring that captured videos and pictures are in-line with URDA’s and Donors’ requests and requirements.
  • Filming short movies, documentaries, advertisements and teasers for URDA’s different projects, programs and campaigns.
  • Coordinating with the URDA’s photographers in the different locations to ensure that they are present and ready where and when needed.
  • Supervising the daily work of all URDA photographers and guiding them in producing and developing professional footage for URDA and donors.
  • Working both on and off-site.

 

  1. Movie Editing:
  • Developing scripts for URDA’s different media productions.
  • Inserting closed captioning, graphics, or other on-screen text into videos.
  • Adding computer graphics and special effects to videos.
  • Managing and overseeing all technical aspects of video recording and editing. 
  • Developing an overall video brand messaging strategy in collaboration with the communication department.

 

  1. Designing of Graphics:
  • Designing banners, roll ups and other types of printed marketing material in line with URDA’s and donors’ requirements.  
  • Coordinating with approved print houses when submitting printing orders.
  • Supervising the quality of all of URDA’s printouts.

 

  1. Administrative Duties
  • Regularly collaborating with fundraising and marketing team as well as program managers in brainstorming activities.
  • Regularly collaborate with URDA’s communication department to ensure that produced material are in line with URDA's brand guidelines.
  • Conduct regular presentations to program managers, donor representatives and other URDA stakeholders.

A. Academic Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in graphic design, Media, Radio & TV or any other related field

B. Professional Background
• 1 to 3 years of professional experience in a similar role (preferably in the humanitarian field)
• Professional experience in using Adobe Premiere, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop
• Experience using other graphic design and movie editing software is a plus.

C. Skills and Capacities
• Professional proficiency in using Adobe Premiere, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop
• Fluency in Arabic and English languages spoken and written. (French is a plus)
• Highly organized and capable of multi-tasking and working on different projects for different donors at the same time.
• Ability to work under pressure and for long hours of time.
• Time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Professional proficiency in using Microsoft Office tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Excellent teamwork skills.
• Excellent negotiation and persuasion skills.
• Capable of finding quick, efficient, and cost-effective solutions to unexpected problems.
