Senior Technical Officer (Developer)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Information Management

• Facilitate regular meetings in conjunction with different Teams to assist information sharing between teams and projects, and to provide the opportunity for feedback
• Ensure accurate and timely reporting of activities according to Medair, donor and other applicable timeframes and formats
• Provide technical support to camp focal points and assessment staff to troubleshoot system problems and errors in the field.
• Assist in preparing ODK forms and troubleshoot logical and calculation problems.

Development

• Complete necessary system updates to Medair systems.
• Perform Import/Export IM tools using JSON files between the test and the production Server
• Communicate with Medair teams to make changes on Systems and Notify all stakeholders.
• Ensure all Equipment used on the field are secured and following data protection policies.
• Ensure IM portal/ Ona servers access is maintained properly.
• Support the work IM Manager in the onwards development of Information Management Systems including DHIS2, ODK, GIS, QlikView dashboards etc.
• Build and change new applications in XLS Format for usage on ODK
• Develop new extension for DHIS2 to enhance its capabilities to comply with Medair activities.
• Ability to take over extensions and system already in operation, troubleshoot and update when needed.
• Ensure suitable training provided to Medair teams in the various information management systems used in operations including DHIS2, ODK etc.
• Provide technical support and specified training to Medair Team Leaders in technical usage of Medair Information Management systems in the field and office as necessary.
• Oversee the development of QlikSence dashboards to support Information Management and Data Analysis needs of Medair teams.

Coordination

• Work closely with Medair teams on planning future work and data requirements
• Communicate with IM Manager any problems or technical software updates during project implementation or with information management.
• Represent Medair in both National and Bekaa level working group meetings and other coordination meetings as required, representing Medair and feeding back to the relevant staff and field managers on relevant issues

Reporting

• Assist in the generation of the final and interim reporting of the project.  
• Undertake analysis of collected data using DHIS2, ODK and other software using QlikSence or any other tool.
• Ensure accurate and timely reporting of activities e.g. through weekly and monthly reports
• Oversee the production of SOPs for Medair IM Systems
• Monitor and communicate reporting of activities with donors using Activity Information database with teams focal point and M&E Staff.
