Research Assistant

Job purpose 

To conduct a research on a project related to vulnerable groups and human rights in Lebanon. 

Responsibilities 

 Participate to drafting progress report in relation to the project

• Support the researcher in carrying out data collection, cleaning and analysis activities where relevant
• Contribute to visualization of key data, findings etc.
• Contribute to literature reviews on a range of thematic
• Any other research tasks as agreed within the team

Qualifications 

Essential:

• 1- 3 years’ experience
• Fluent in English and Arabic
• Undergraduate degree, ideally in (social) sciences, international relations, political science
• Excellent understanding of qualitative and quantitative methodology
• Good research ethics
• Out of the box thinker, motivated by contributing to change in Lebanon, and keen to work on an exciting team

Desirable:

• Experience using Tableau, PowerBi and other information management and visualisation tools
• Past experience working on systems change projects, ideally in public sector and/or in security sector
• Experience showing innovative approaches to research in complex contexts and/or projects
• Experience working in diverse teams
