SWM Project Officer (Prospective 2021) - Multiple Positions

Primary responsibilities:

• Assessment of municipal capacity and solid waste management system;
• Solid waste characterization;
• Development of approved SWM system;
• Implementation of recommendations to enhance existing SWM system.
• Secondary responsibilities:
• Development of recommendation for proposed SWM system, TEF, Mansoura;
• Assist in RFP development (EIA consultant, construction of SWM, supply and install for SWM);
• Assist in development of SWM system scenarios for municipalities; Ensure activities are developed in partnership with with relevant authorities and other key stakeholders
• Liase with the line manager to identify weekly and monthly priorities and to develop and implement monthly and weekly work plans
• Oversight the monitoring activities in the field
• Use excellent communication skills with beneficiaries and communities
• Liase on daily basis with finance logistics and administration to guarantee the smooth running of programmes
• Ensure quality of materials delivered, and construction work

QUALIFICATIONS

• Technical or University degree in a related field;
• 2 years of experience in coordinating WaSH projects - preferably including Solid Waste Management;
• Sound experience in M&E activities;
• Experience in training and capacity building;
• Experience in working with local communities and municipalities;
• Good command of English and excellent command of Arabic.
• Very good skills in common software packages (MS Excel, MS Word…) and Autocad.
• Driving skills/car
