Job Purpose
The Grants Coordinator, with guidance and supervision from the Deputy Country Director, will be responsible for the overall coordination of all proposal development, reporting and grants management across IMC’s Lebanon response. Grants Coordinator will lead the grants department in developing quality reporting and proposal products, and ensuring information sharing and archiving to facilitate capturing of lessons learned and feedback loops to continually build on and improve program implementation and development. Grants Coordinator will act as a key liaison between and across mission departments including programs, M&E, finance and logistics for the purposes of program development and reporting.
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain grants management tools, such as funding trackers, reporting calendars, templates and compliance guidance documents, and ensure all the departments are aware of these timelines and requirements.
- Lead the organization of grant kick-off and close-out meetings.
- Lead the organization of regular program reviews and evaluations to ensure systematic documentation of program best practices and lessons learned.
- Lead the collection, compilation, review, quality control and editing of both quantitative and qualitative donor, internal, cluster and inter-agency reporting.
- Ensure that reports are of high quality and submitted on a timely manner.
- Ensure that relevant staff are provided with timely information and materials – including guidelines, templates and examples – in order to develop quality reporting contributions.
- Maintain soft copies of files on Office365 for grant portfolio.
- Support in proposal development, realignment and modification processes.
- Support the senior management in assessing funding opportunities to fit with IMC’s strategic objectives and the local context, advising on these as required.
- Ensure effective communications, visibility and knowledge management within IMC Lebanon and to an external audience.
Qualifications:
Minimum degree in social sciences, public health, statistics, or international development, with experience or background in M&E, epidemiology, public health, and health information management
Experience:
A minimum of 2-3 years of satisfactory working experience in grants management,
• Experience working with health NGO or implementing organization strongly preferred,
• Must have excellent self-motivation skills,
• Experience in effectively dealing with HQ staff, as well as donor agencies, government officials, and other NGO’s; the ability to work with a broad spectrum of people,
• Ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions independently,
• Extremely flexible, and have the ability to cope with stressful situations and frustrations,
• Ability to relate to and motivate staff effectively,
• Creativity and the ability to work with limited resources,
• Excellent decision-making skills & strategic insight,
• Must have excellent communications skills, both oral and written,
• Experience in working with refugees in Lebanon and the Middle East would be preferable.
