CP -Social Worker

Duties and responsibilities:

Identify safe spaces to provide FPSS that adhere to the quality checklists for center-based and outreach activities shared at the inter-agency level

Ensure  FPSS and Positive Parenting  is delivered in line with global minimum standards and national inter-agency SOPs/standards

Identify vulnerable children and caregivers in need of  FPSS in line with the selection criteria

Provide technical capacity building on FPSS, CP and  Positive Parenting protection concepts, safe identification and referral and confidentiality and informed consent.

Update the capacity building plan of Facilitators on a monthly basis

Ensure the proper documentation of data collected (hard and soft copies) during CB PSS (attendance sheets, permission slips, parental consent, referrals etc.)

Maintain positive relations with local implementing actors, local authorities and other international and local stakeholders;

Perform any other duties relating to the nature of the job.

Qualifications:

2 to 3 years of experience in provision of Psychosocial support activities with children and caregivers

At least 1-year experience providing coaching, training and mentoring on FPSS activities with children and caregivers

Excellent knowledge in :

Child protection and GBV and PSS basic principles

Gender and age appropriate facilitation skills, child development and adult learning techniques, 

 Knowledge of child development and adult learning techniques

 Capacity building, training, coaching and mentoring skills

Knowledge of the negative impacts of child labor on child development

knowledge of the worst and other forms of child labor

Communication and psychosocial first aid skills

Interpersonal and problem-solving skills, creativity and flexibility

Ability to:

maintain confidentiality, respect, non-discrimination, safety and inclusion of CP and GBV cases at all times

Comfortable in a multi-cultural environment, flexible and able to handle pressure well

Computer literacy (Microsoft Word and Excel)
