Psychologist – Group therapy

JOB PURPOSE

The psychologist will provide group therapy for person affected by Beirut Blast in Bourj Hammoud and in Jnah center. .

REPORTS TO: MHPSS technical advisor.

TASKS:

Collaborate with the center psychologist and case workers to see the person referred for group therapy.

Each group will be formed of 12 beneficiaries.

Each group will work together for 12 sessions during 6 weeks (2 session per week). A total of 16 groups is requested (8 groups in Bourj Hammoud – 8 groups in Jnah).

Prepare the session in close collaboration with the MHPSS technical advisor.

Brief report on every session. Detailed report at the end of every group therapy.

Total of 15h per week (12h for group therapy, 3h for coordination / report / supervision).

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology and registration in MoH

Three to five years of relevant experience

Basic Knowledge of Child Protection policy and P and GBV National SOP’s

Good knowledge of CP and GBV Minimum Standards

Excellent skills in time management and stress management

Good organizational and prioritization skills and ability to meet deadlines under pressure;

Leadership, problem solving, and negotiation skills;

Strong inter-personal and team working skills including the ability to manage liaise and communicate with team members;

Demonstrated capacity to take initiative and pay attention to details;

Flexibility, dynamic; initiative-taking;

Ability to react to emergency situation and trouble-shoot crisis situation as needed;

Ability to plan workloads and demonstrate accountability for outputs;

Fluent written and spoken Arabic and English are essential- French is a plus;
