SGBV Team Leader

Program Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the Case Workers/PSS Workers and ensure that work is completed according to guidelines and standards.
  • Participate in the identification and monitoring of volunteers
  • Support, supervise and monitor the activities of the Case Workers, provide technical support to case workers in the delivery of the activities
  • Ensure a standardized approach across the different communities where implementing
  • Ensure regular monitoring and on site coaching visits
  • Highlight any challenge or constraint to the Project Coordinator
  • Participate in the development of best practices and lesson learned
  • Facilitate and co-facilitate training when required

 

Monitoring & Reporting:

  • Develop weekly and monthly plan for the Case Workers including their work in the field
  • Fill observations checklists whenever conducting field visits
  • Compile a weekly report of activities
  • Participate in the development of lessons learned and best practices
  • Ensure that all relevant financial documentation is completed accurately as required by MF’s finance policy
  • In coordination with the M & E officer, participate in the monitoring and evaluation of the program

 

Staff Management and Development:

  • Coach, train, and mentor staff with the aim of strengthening their technical capacity, exchanging knowledge within the team and providing professional development guidance  
  • Ensure work is completed in accordance with GBV Case Management Principles
  • Supervise and mentor direct-report staff, including communicating clear expectations, setting performance objectives, providing regular and timely performance feedback, and leading documented semi-annual performance reviews
  • Provide constructive feedback and counsel on appropriate career paths and professional development
  • Promote and monitor staff care and well-being; approve and manage all leave requests to ensure adequate coverage

 

Coordination & Representation:

  • Liaise and collaborate with other actors when required
  • Attend SGBV coordination meetings
  • Maintain positive coordination and relationships with partner and other MF sector staff

 

Other:

  • Consistently and proactively monitor/assess the safety and security of field teams; promptly reporting concerns or incidents to MF management and liaising with community leaders and other external parties as required to maintain/enhance the security environment for MF programs
  • Ensure activities are done in accordance with MF logistics policy and in a timely manner to ensure the successful implementation of programs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor to enable and develop MF programs
