Grants Manager and Proposal Writer

This is a flexible part-time position with opportunities for fast growth. You will be responsible for applying to grants and ensuring compliance. The ideal candidate will have had succesfful previous experience in acquiring and administering grants. All position activities are supportive roles completed in coordination with the Executive Team.

Major Activities:

  • Researching funding needs
  • Determining funding needs
  • Identifying support agencies
  • Optimizing grant administration process
  • Managing timelines and deliverables
  • Preparing and monitoring budgets
  • Tracking grant applications
  • Supporting in grant writing
  • Coordinating with research and communication departments to exchange information
  • Supporting with administrative tasks as needed to fulfil reporting and implementation requirements set by donors
  • Engaging with donors as required for inquires, follow up and reporting

Professional Qualifications:

  • Methodological and strategic thinking
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Office and Excel to administer financial reporting
  • Budgeting and accounting experience
  • Good communication skills
  • Previous experience in a similar position and/or in the humanitarian field of at least 3 years
  • Successful previous acquisition of grants
  • Knowledge of auditing policies and donor agencies
  • Strong writing skills
