About the project and the position

A consortium of six organizations, including Médecins du Monde (MdM), Skoun, Abaad, Amel, Embrace and Humanity and Inclusion (HI), along with National Mental Health Program (NMHP), supported by the Agence Francaise de Development (AFD), aims to improve the opportunities for individuals living in Lebanon to enjoy the best possible mental health and wellbeing. The consortium is looking to recruit a mental health expert to train and supervise health staff on different topics such as PFA, ECM, mhGAP, PM+, parenting skills, self-care etc.

Tasks and duties

Training

• Undergo the ToT training (when needed),
• Input into a range of interactive exercises, including “hands-on” practice of skills, to support course content and objectives or revise and update existing exercises and simulations as needed depending on the target population to train,
• Design and implement interactive trainings, if needed, in line with adult learning insights  based on material provided
• Roll out the training sessions,
• Develop training reports, and
• Coordinate regarding the logistics before and during the training days with the concerned partners and the related team members.

Supervision

• Provide support and supervision to the trained external stakeholders based on the different trainings given through face to face or remote sessions,
• Develop a plan to address the identified gaps and challenges and provide needed support and guidance, and
• Conduct group discussions of persons working together where needed.

Participate in the development, implementation and monitoring of the data collection system as needed.

Deliverables

Training:

• Rolling out the sessions
• Training report per training including pre posttest and training evaluation analysis

Supervision

• Support and supervision monthly reports
• Rolling out of the support and supervision sessions  

Education, experience and relevant skills

• Degree in psychiatry or Master in psychology or other fields related such as mental health and/or substance use,
• At least 5 experience in designing and delivering trainings for adults.
• Fluent in Arabic and English
• Ability to work under pressure,
• Analytical and conceptualization skills,
• Good training skills & communication skills,
• Good organizational and problem-solving skills, and
• Reliability and accountability.
