Expected timeframe of the employment: 6 months

Type of employment: Consultant, with full time position, 40 hours per week

Salary per month: 2,500 USD per month

About the project and the position

A consortium of six organizations, including Médecins du Monde (MdM), Skoun, Abaad, Amel, Embrace and Humanity and Inclusion (HI), along with National Mental Health Program (NMHP), supported by the Agence Francaise de Development (AFD), aims to improve the opportunities for individuals living in Lebanon to enjoy the best possible mental health and wellbeing. The consortium is looking for a Field Coordinator, who would follow up on the integration of Mental Health (MH) into Primary Health Care Centers (PHCCs) and establishment of MH clinics, to ensure quality delivery of services that is in line with the NMHP guidelines.

Tasks and duties

• Conduct regular field visits to facilities providing mental health services such as Primary Health Care Centers, Community Mental Health Centers, general hospitals and psychiatric hospitals,
• Follow-up on the integration of mental health within the above facilities,
• Assess progress to targets, and implementation barriers and provide recommendations,
• Facilitate and support the set up and use of the Health information system (HIS) including the Mental health packages,
• Administer facility level checklists and surveys with relevant persons, pertinent to the follow up on the progress of activities and emerging needs/challenges to be addressed,
• Complete all field documentation such as log sheets,
• Coordinate with the relevant supervisor to provide the required support, and
• Prepare monthly reports that summarize activities done.

Education, experience and relevant skills

• Degree in public health, and other related fields,
• A minimum of 5 years of proven previous experience in similar work,
• Fluent in Arabic and English,
• Excellent communication skills,
• Excellent problem-solving skills,
• Excellent organizational skills,
• Good Microsoft office skills,
• Project management experience is a plus,
• Reliability and accountability
• Motorized.
