Food & Security Livelihood Officer (Khaldeh & Cola)

Main Responsibilities:

 

- Ensure proper implementation of the program livelihood component in the field, focusing on program quality and innovative approach.

- Handle the daily follow up on the program livelihood activities in the field, ensuring the technical aspects of the project are running in accordance with the project’s objectives and strategies.

- Support in conducting the youth led market assessments in her/his area of responsibility, and determining program intervention priorities based on needs and existing resources.

- Support in the identification of partners and linkages (businesses, private sector, NGOs, and local government partners) to support youth livelihood- related interventions.

- Prepare monthly progress report and other relevant documents to be sent to the program Livelihood Lead.

- Ensure proper project documentation.

- Help in the mapping of potential employment opportunity, education and training provider, and business support providers in his area of responsibility.

- Deliver life skills sessions for youth.

- Support the youth in the development of their mock business ideas.

- Any other task required for program purposes.

 

Holds a minimum of a University degree in social sciences, business development, or other related field

Has experience working in child protection, livelihood programs, youth programs and/or education programs

Has managerial experience of a team of people

Has experience leading or conducting market or situational assessments (preferred)

Possesses strong organizational skills

Has a strong understanding of the community and has established working relations with local CBOs, community leaders, and municipality preferable.
