Driver-Bekaa

DESCRIPTION: 

 General objective:

Under the direct supervision of the Bekaa Program Manager, the Driver has to ensure the daily transportation of SAMS staff, items, supplies etc... Following the agreed on schedules, as well as SAMS Safety and Security policies and procedures.

Responsibilities and tasks

1- Transportation

• To drive SAMS vehicles and transport staff to any place for work purposes only and ensure the safety of all passengers
• To drive SAMS vehicles and transport materials and equipment for work purposes only and help for the loading and unloading of the vehicle
• To park SAMS vehicles in accordance with SAMS safety rules

2- Maintenance

• Checking SAMS vehicles fleet under the guidance and coordination with the Country Security Officer
• Checking all the documents of the vehicles and their validity.
• To ensure maintenance of the car fleet: fuel, cleaning, checking and repairs.
• To fill in the log book for every movement according to SAMS rules.
• To help maintaining up the premises

3- Security: 

• To share security information with the Country Security Officer
• To make sure all his/her passengers put on their security seat belt
• To follow SAMS driving rules and regulations.
• To understand and obey traffic law and regulations

4- Support:

• To help with any task related to the activities/ or structure of the mission when required by his/her supervisor. 

Qualifications:

Mandatory requirements:

• Language Skills: Fluent in speaking Arabic
• Work experience: Significant experience in driving-previous NGO work is a plus

Other requirement:

• Valid driving license for at least 2 years
• Mechanical and electrical skills is a plus
