Fundraising Project Coordinator

General objectives and tasks:

1- Ensure that proper communication to donors is managed effectively and ensure timely reporting to all donors:

  • Edit and prove final donor requisites to ensure that the best editorial standards are met.
  • Address questions or concerns to the fundraising officers and follow up on fine tuning, and back and forth reporting.
  • Edit and proof proposals to ensure that it is in line with arcenciel’s SOPs.
  • Follow up on sending frequent donor impact reports to keep donors informed of project progress.
  • Set and communicate the donor reporting schedule with the team.

 

2- Provide information related to fundraising, monitoring and evaluating tools:

  • Provide information on events, requirements and policies, how to raise funds with available tools, and donation processes.
  • Develop new fundraising tools and organize different events to attract potential funding from different sources of funding.
  • Test the efficacy of the available procedures and tools, and propose amendments to the department manager.
  • Work in coordination with the communication department to mobilize and align communications with the targeted fundraising results

 

3- Coordinate the fundraising activities and act on the fundraising opportunities:

  • Participate in regular meetings with the Program Managers, Program Team and the Management Team, to map the needs and act upon them.
  • Research, identify, assess and develop new fundraising opportunities and relationships amongst institutional donors, private foundations, and individuals to diversify and increase fundraising resources streams.
  • Develop the donors’ database and follow up with respective programs and proposal writing officers.
  • Maintain the best approach to raise funds from diverse donor segments.
  • Maintain up-to-date expertise in fundraising related technologies.

 

4- Coordinate and supervise the monitoring and evaluating activities:

  • Support the monitoring and evaluating activities of the team.
  • Support the development of M&E plans, indicator matrices, and clear data collection plan in discussion with the team and lead on all data collection exercises, and M&E implementation exercises and assessments.
  • Work with department managers and quality team to develop an M&E plan that outlines the different steps that are required, setting out who will deliver what and by when.
  • Communicate to Program Managers the result of the monitoring and evaluating activities (debriefings, presentations, report sharing).
  • Ensure that all monitoring and evaluating documents are properly archived and easily accessible.

 

5- Assist the External Relations Manager in his overall mission:

  • Assist in planning, developing, implementing and coordinating the fundraising strategy of the organization.
  • Develop and implement a coordinated strategy for the support, resourcing, training and coaching of fundraising officers to become active in developing and securing funding opportunities.
  • Represent the organization at donor meetings and undertake follow-up and coordination activities.
  • Provide help to colleagues by assisting in the preparation of reports and mailing lists.
  • Plan and coordinate donor visits while liaising with concerned parties.
  • Assist in the development and in the delivery of training materials for the department volunteers

Skill set and competencies:

  • Experience to be transparent, accountable and analytic about fundraising metrics.
  • Ability and experience to work effectively with people from diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • Proven previous experience in donor relations.
  • Perfect knowledge in developing job-relevant tools(fundraising, monitoring and evaluating tools).
  • Advanced computer skills (MS Outlook, Word, Excel, on-line fundraising tools, databases)
  • Perfect knowledge of writing and communication techniques (in English, French and Arabic).
  • Strong thinker with attention to detail.
  • Initiative taker and out of the box thinker.
  • Capacity to organize and prioritize.
  • Ability to interact with a range of individuals, with a variety of personalities and skills.
  • Ability to see the "big picture" of how different departments/programs and functions work together.

 

Working schedule: Monday till Friday from 9:00 am till 5:00 pm.

Contract Type: 1 year (renewable).

Bachelor's degree in International Affairs, Project Management, Social Sciences, local development. Relevant courses taken in fundraising, social marketing, budgeting, public relations, grants writing, PCM, Log frames, M&E tools is a plus.
