ECD Project Coordinator


The Arab Resource Collective (ARC) is a non-governmental regional organization. ARC's mission is to work with partners on producing and disseminating knowledge, promoting policies, and developing human resources in order to translate rights into reality. ARC targets children and youth within their environment and focuses on health, education, and protection.

HEPPP - Health, Early Learning, and Protection Parenting Program- is a guide developed by Arab Resource Collective, and is a tool that aims to empower the role of mothers and fathers in the care of their children based on principles of child ecology, positive child psychology, development, and child rights... It provides a framework of concepts, knowledge, and exercises that help to develop the practices of parents in the early learning of their children while adopting an integrated, holistic approach to the child's early learning, care, health, development, and parental wellbeing.

A. Tasks and Responsibilities:

  1. Administrative work:
  • Create TORs and ensure documentation of project personnel.
  • Revise the documentation of the program.
  • Prepare all the needed forms for implementation: attendance sheets, centers reporting forms, trainers reporting forms.
  • Organize the logistics of the activities.
  • Ensure proper financial reporting to all expenditures in all centers.
  • Filing

2. Meetings and coordination:

  • Work closely with ARC Programmes Manager and Coordinator.
  • Work closely with Communications Team when required.
  • Follow up with the research team.
  • Communicate weekly with the field partners.
  • Conduct field visits to the implementation area when and if needed.
  • Attend the donors’ meetings.
  • Attend and document the working teams' meetings and ensure the follow up on the taken decisions.
  • Follow up with the project’s experts and staff on reporting, timeline, and activities plan.

3. Implementation tasks:

  • Develop a work plan with a clear timeframe and ensure its implementation.
  • Coordinate the activities’ implementation.
  • Ensure quality implementation of activities.
  • Give feedback on developed ECD content.
  • Receive and revise trainers’ regular reports.
  • Receive reports from trainers, center directors, investigators, data collectors and follow up on their work.
  • Report the activities implementation.
  • Participate in the final report writing.

 

B. ECD Project Officer Qualifications:

  • Very high coordination Skills
  • Very good Knowledge in Early childhood Development Sectors (Health, Early Learning, and Protection)
  • Very good writing skills in Arabic
  • Very Good written and verbal English skills
  • High reporting skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Previously worked with donors
  • Able to advise on the developed content (interviews, videos, posters) related to parenting young children.
  • Knowledge and experience in PSS and Psychological approach is a plus
  • Experience in training on ECD topics is a plus
  • Experience working with parents is a plus
