Tasks
- Organize and plan Group counseling sessions with Helem’s beneficiaries.
- Administer psychological evaluation.
- Set an initial group plan (Number of sessions expected) for each group, and updating focal points about them.
- Identify needs and interventions needed.
- Conduct group sessions with beneficiaries to address their struggles and needs.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team present with you to refer to psychiatric assistance or hospitalization if needed.
- Inform the Services department manager about high-risk cases that needs further help.
- Submit record sheets for each session conducted with the beneficiary.
- Fill mental health reports /case-files for each participant.
- Submit a discharge plan for each beneficiary who has completed the course of treatment.
- Schedule appointments need and follow up (regularly).
- Participate in team meetings.
- Abide by the Center’s policies and bylaws.
- Fill sheets of attendance and documentation form.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience.
A clear understanding of group sessions dynamics, and MHPSS.
Total understanding and execution of the “do no harm” and “non-discriminatory” principles.
Previous experience in group counseling and facilitation.
Previous experience working closely with LGBT+ community members.
Excellent understanding and empathizing with LGBT+ community members.
Master's degree in psychology.
2+ year’s experience as a group facilitator.
Undergone or undergoing personal therapy.
Previous NGO experience is a plus.
Ability to work under pressure and within strict timelines.
