- Background
MASLIH project targets traditional businesses in the greater Tripoli Area, and in specific those traditional and productive businesses existing in the old city, considering that most businesses in this area are micro and small, they present a niche market with significant potential for growth. A focus will be placed on businesses that demonstrate significant potential to create impact through the development / pivoting of their business model and require access to market support.
MASALIH Project focus will be mainly on enabling Traditional businesses in Greater Tripoli / Fayhaa Union of municipalities (Tripoli, Baddawi, Qalamoun, Mina), like businesses existing in the old souk of Tripoli, to back-up and then to become more resilient to business challenges, and future crises at business landscape changes.
The second part of the project will target Vocational training courses,Target beneficiaries will have access to accelerated market-based training and self-development programs that will prepare them to increase their competitiveness in the skilled labor market.

To join its Training Team. The successful national candidate will be expected to:
- Provide training content / curricula / field manuals /and information database.
- Deliver technical training for training providers.
- Provide advice on best practices in the relevant sector in Lebanon to maximize support for participants to market linkages.
The general objective of the consultancy is to train approximately 15 Youth on the know-how of each topic; theory and practice.
- Tasks and Responsibilities
- To use PowerPoint Presentations, videos, and case studies in training sessions as well provide participants with brochures and manuals.
- Final report of findings and recommendations: The Consultant shall report directly to SF’s Tripoli Office, in particular. S/he will submit the following reports at the end of the training sessions:
- Presentation of training outcomes to the SF field team and technical advisors;
- Narrative Report draft which includes: i) the number of beneficiaries (disaggregated by gender and nationality), ii) providing technical guidance for future steps.

- Qualifications Required
- Person Qualifications:
- Expert in each Topic
- The selected candidate should have advanced experience in technical training; at least 3 years of experience.
- Strong experience in delivering training to multicultural attendees
- Knowledge and experience in working with NGOs/ local authorities for at least 3 years
- Experience in development, design, and facilitation of training programs
- Capacity to think creatively in dealing with vulnerable audiences
- Strong interpersonal skills and a supportive technical and communication style
- Strong written and oral communication skills, demonstrated the ability to make effective presentations to Strong command of Arabic (the training language)
- High reporting experience
- A clear understanding of the political, geographic, and economic dynamics of the Tripoli area
- Years of Experience: 3 - 5 years of experience in working in a similar field
- Competencies:
- Show respect to beneficiaries’ confidentiality
- Respect and promote SF’s Policies and report to SF field officer any non-respect of SF’s policies amongst the teams or partners.
