Media monitoring and analysts

We are looking for an ambitious media analyst to conduct research on the internal security to advance peace and social cohesion in Lebanon. In this role, you'll be required to compile data on the media coverage, and report your findings.

Media Analyst Responsibilities:

Tracking the media coverage on internal security to advance peace and social cohesion in Lebanon trough social media, and radio or TV news 

Do A QUALITATIVE ANALYSIS

Each day, make a selection of three stories from your internet news gathering  that seem to be the most promising candidates for in-depth qualitative analysis.

You will hopefully have found examples of stories that contribute to an understanding of internal security by:

Highlighting opinions or points of views that relate to the impact of refugees and social cohesion in Lebanese society.

Are overtly stereotypical or discriminative towards refugees

Highlighting negative perceptions between different political parties and/or Lebanon’s many diverse communities. 

Including opinions or points of view on how the economic crisis is impacting internal security

Including opinions or points of view on internal security following the Beirut Blast.

Including opinions or points of view concerning the revolution and political protests. 

Media Analyst Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Media 

At least one years' experience working as a media analyst media company, or related organization.

Advanced knowledge of media analytics and social media networking.

A demonstrated interest in the media industry and its inner workings.

Ability to work well under pressure and navigate stressful situations.

Exceptional organizational abilities.

Excellent communication skills and willingness to work in a team environment.
