Communications Volunteer

The communications volunteer is expected to support SPARK’s regional communications team on basic tasks and communicate directly with beneficiaries in the MENA region.
Ideally, the volunteer will be able to come to the office at least 2 times per week but given the current circumstances, work will be remote. 
The volunteer will be expected to work for 16 hours per week for 3 months (with possible extension). 

Main Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Assist in producing and editing up-to-date content for social media and newsletters by collecting all relevant and up to date information from the region;
• Assist in online and offline outreach;
• Information collection from SPARK’s different international hubs;
• Support on Arabic translations if required;
• Support with student communication;
• Provide communications/PR support for relevant upcoming events, conferences, seminars;
• Assist with internal communications strategies;
• Assist with designing promotional materials;

• Assist with promotional video production.

Requirements and Skills

• Excellent Arabic & English language skills;
• Excellent writing skills;
• Social media knowledge and experience;
• Good communication and social skills and the ability to work in a multicultural setting;
• Proven organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
