Duties/Assignments:
Coordinate the project, the staff and volunteers in the field and at Dawaer's office.
Provide social services and assistance to improve the social and psychological functioning of children and their families and to maximize the family well-being and the academic functioning of children.
The project coordinator will have the following responsibilities:
- Aware of all the terms of the projects under her mandate and the conditions of their implementation.
- Responsible for the implementation of all the project activities.
- Carry out all necessary preparations as per the terms of the work plan of projects to ensure proper project implementation as per the approved timeline in accordance with the rules and regulations of Dawaer and the Partners or Donors.
- Communicates with relevant stakeholders to ensure involvement and participation.
- Ensures that training venues and logistics are secured.
- Follow up on the implementation of the training sessions and meetings and oversees work progress.
- Designs community activities in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
- Coordinates between the various actors (implementing partners, trainers, target groups, and provides logistical support and services to the program);
Refer children and families to community resources for services, such as where to go and how to apply.
Maintains client confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Assist in the monitoring of the project
- Submits monthly reports to Dawaer.
- Drafts monthly and quarterly report as per donor guidelines.
- Attends coordination meetings.
- Collecting data, monitoring and reporting on indicators and targets set to evaluate the progress and results achieved by the project
- Submits a final evaluation report (progress, achievements, challenges, and lessons learned).
- Attends partners meetings whenever needed.
- Drafts project proposals in coordination with Dawaer Team.
- Follows up with the finance and logistics officer on project expenditures on a regular basis.
- To manage the logistics and daily expenditures with documentation of Dawaer office.
- Perform any other tasks and duties within all knowledge, skills, capabilities, and experience as required by Dawaer Team.
Degree of expertise and qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related to social work, social sciences, political science, Project management or related fields.
- Experience working with children that are affected by issues including post traumatic stress, neglect, child abuse, domestic violence, mental health and parental substance abuse. (3 years minimum).
- Good communication (verbal and written) and strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team.
- Excellent analytical and writing skills.
- Oriented and able to meet strict timelines for outputs.
- Self-motivated, versatile and adaptable to different cultures and people.
- Experience in providing support to communities on Peace Building and Social Cohesion, and psychosocial support.
- Experience in providing assistance and support in evaluation and performance monitoring.
- Proven ability to coordinate and manage complex project work.
- Experience in report writing, monitoring and evaluation of projects.
- Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
