Monitoring & Evaluation Officer

The Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) officer will support the monitoring, evaluation and reporting of activities in accordance with the Ana Aqra Association policy and project requirements.

 

Duties and responsibilities

The duties and responsibilities of the M&E officer include, but are not limited to:

  • Collect, track and assess relevant data on a regular basis.
  • Conduct field visits to implementation sites and provide feedback.
  • Monitor all project activities, progress towards achieving the project output, and the sustainability of the project's results.
  • Recommend further improvement of the logical framework when applicable.
  • Monitor and evaluate overall progress on achievement of results.
  • Provide feedback on project strategies and activities.
  • Reporting periodically and provide feedback on project strategies and progress of activities.
  • Participate in annual project reviews and planning workshops and assist in preparing relevant reports.
  • Assist in coordinating across the available components of the Project to ensure effective implementation of M&E.
  • Assist the project team with M&E tools and support them in their use.
  • Assist the Program Manager in preparing project relevant reports including reports on findings and lessons learned.
  • Organize and conduct training on M&E for project staff when applicable;
  • Develop a M&E system for the Project if needed;
  • Develop, improve and update tools for data collection, processing and analysis.
  • Prepare and maintain a data base;
  • Promote the vision, mission, and strategic goals of Ana Aqra Association;
  • Perform other related duties as required.
     

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree preferably in Business Administration, Economics, Data Science, Statistics or any related field.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in the design and implementation of M&E in humanitarian and development projects implemented by national/international NGOs.
  • Experience in designing tools and strategies for data collection, analysis and production of reports.
  • Proven ICT skills, especially in MIS and database software.
  • Expertise in analyzing data using statistical software.
  • Strong training & facilitation skills.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills in Arabic and English.
  • Ability to plan, coordinate, and organize workload while remaining aware of changing priorities and competing deadlines.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with staff and partners to facilitate the provision of support.
  • Sensitivity and responsiveness to all partners and project staff.
