Provision of consultancy for organizational and digital capacity assessment, as well as establishing a strategy for Integrating New Practices into the Organizations’ Processes and Culture for 8 CSOs participating in the program between May and August 2021.
1- Technical Description
The ZIVIK project aims at assisting organizations through a capacity building process by providing consultancy in developing their own IT strategy matching with their overall strategy, supporting them in implementing digital services, and integrating these solutions into their organizations’ approach and culture.
The consultant role will be key to the project in gathering all needed information from the participants and analyzing their organization, infrastructure and needs. The consultant should then prepare his report accordingly, which will be the basis for Helvetas partner’s expert consultant to come up with an ICT strategy and roadmap/work plan for each organization with his assistance.
2- Objectives and expected results
Organizations have a holistic assessment of their ICT gaps and needs
Organizations have developed their IT strategies and identified resources for the strategy
Organizations have developed a roadmap for implementing their strategy into actions
Organizations practice a regular exchange on the progress of implementation within their teams, and reflect on key issues and learning among participating organizations and with DOT Lebanon / Helvetas
Pilots for the use of digital tools in processes / work streams are realized
3- Specific tasks for the consultant
Review and agree detailed work plan with DOT Lebanon / Helvetas
Provide feedback to DOT Lebanon on the capacity assessment methodology
Familiarize yourself with the participating organizations, drawing on the results of the capacity assessment done by DOT Lebanon
Gain a good understanding of the planned capacity development process
Outline the key steps that organizations need to take to develop their IT strategy
Provide group coaching and give feedback on the organizations’ strategy
Guide the organizations to develop their action plans
Provide group coaching as organizations progress on the capacity development process and as they develop their first pilot applications
Facilitate peer exchange among participating organizations along the way
Liaise with Helvetas consultant, DOT Lebanon tech and learning team and program management on all DT-program related points
4- Requirements:
The applicant must have a minimum of:
3-5 years experience in Digital Transformation
Education: Bachelor Degree in CS, CCE or DT related
Excellent English language working knowledge
Excellent Arabic language working knowledge
Excellent documentation and research skills
Strong time management, communication and organizational skills
5- Methodology
Suitable methodologies need to be developed and used to respond to the ongoing COVID
pandemic and the restrictions in mobility and interactions.
We foresee extensive use of online interactions throughout.
Since the pandemic situation is very fluid, we expect regular consultations of the consultant with DOT Lebanon and Helvetas over the methodologies planned for particular activities as outlined above.

The time frame planned for this role is 3 months between May and September 2021
