Gender Expert - LD

Key Responsibilities

• Gathering main milestones and data related to women’s political and social rights.
• Ensuring that the data covers the main rights that women do not have in Lebanon, gather data on influential Lebanese women who were or are leaders in their fields/sectors, gather data on international treaties and conventions Lebanon ratified , data needs also to focus on women in politics and local governance
• The main questions of this educational game will focus on women in politics, women in local development and women participation in local governance in Lebanon,
• Main milestones, and data (statistics, dates, names) related to political and social rights will need to appear in this education game. Developing questions and answers in Arabic.Proposing a design of the game to NCLW team.
• Working closely with the game developer to design the game.
• Organizing at least 3 piloting sessions with youth from universities and municipalities.
• Amending the tool based on the piloting sessions.

Key Competencies

• Master's Degree in social science especially gender studies, or relevant discipline with a good knowledge in women rights, and development.  
•  5 years of professional experience in similar roles, familiarity with governmental and non-governmental entities in Lebanon. 
• Extensive experience women’s political rights.
• Substantial experience in designing mechanisms of reporting.
• Excellent drafting skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities. 
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Arabic.
• Knowledge and skills in computer usage including word, excel, power point, Zoom, Microsoft teams and social media
• Good organizational skills.
