Animator(Family FPSS)-North Beqaa-Al Qaa( Masharih al-Qaa)

Objective 1: Conducts Family FPSS and CP activities

  • Delivers Family FPSS in line with the curriculum and training, reports on challenges as they arise, and integrates feedback
  • Ensures Family FPSS is delivered in line with global minimum standards and national PSS committee and Child Protection working group standards
  • Creates a safe space where participants can voice their opinions, thoughts and emotions, share experiences and brainstorm on solutions in a confidential and respectful manner
  • Promotes and ensures the participation of both children and caregivers in all activities, in a non-discriminatory as well as age and gender sensitive way
  • Perform any other duties relating to the nature of the job as directed by the Line Manager
  • Provide remote delivery of duties if required
  • Ensures that the beneficiaries have the possibility to participate in designing the activity, to express themselves and to be heard;
  • Ensures that the beneficiaries are all involved in the activity and that there is possibility for boys and girls to work both together and in gender based groups
  • Deals with difficult behaviors (conflict, aggressiveness, introversion), to understand the reason behind the behavior and tries as much as possible to involve the others participants as a resource to solve the problem.

Objective 2:  Identification of vulnerable cases and referral pathways

  • Monitors child progresses, identify children in need and refer special cases to the Case Management Department;
  • Identifies children in needs of specific services and reports them to the Team Leader and Social Worker.
  • Ensure the safe identification and referral for children and caregivers in need of further specialized/non-specialized services
  • Report all Adverse/ Serious Adverse Events  in accordance with the reporting procedure for the organization and for the study
  • Ensure that activities are done in an appropriate location in line with minimum standards
  • Ensure that all children and caregivers are aware of any accountability/ complaint mechanisms

Objective 3: Plans and requests the material needed for the activities to the Team Leader.

  • Closely coordinates and maintains positive relations with focal points in the area
  • Support the logistics and procurement processes needed for the implementation of activities
  • Attends weekly supervision with the Family FPSS Supervisor and communicates regularly with program team for updates on achievements and challenges
  • Ensure the proper documentation of data collected (hard and soft copies) during Family FPSS (attendance sheets, fidelity checklist, session notes, supervision notes, referrals etc.) and follows organizational and study procedures, and the National SOP
  • Collects and documents feedback on the implementation of the methodology including challenges and lessons learnt
  • Ensures appropriate storing of documentation respecting confidentiality

Objective 4:. Responsible for the proper use and basic maintenance of the animation material and Mobile Unit facility.

Objective 5: Actively participates in the trainings provided by TDH IT or other partner Organization and participates in the weekly coordination meetings.

  • Attends and engages with all required Family FPSS training and practice, and all other trainings required by the organization
  • Participate in regular supervisory meetings to ensure adherence to standards of care and appropriate intervention

Objective 6:  Reports, Capitalization and Communication

  • Develops a detailed monthly activity plan, indicating specifically the aim and the objectives of the activities to closely monitor results achieved with the beneficiaries of the age group;
  • Reports daily to the Team Leader the activities conducted.

And any other duties seemed relevant to the position and assigned by your manager.

Main Purpose of the position:

The FPSS Animator has the knowledge and practical skills to carry out focused non-specialised psychosocial support interventions with vulnerable adolescents and their caregivers.  Focused non-specialised PSS interventions will be carried out in line with individual organization, CP sector and inter-agency guidelines.
