Cesvi is looking for data collectors to be responsible of conducting surveys on the field and over the phone in the framework of the above mentioned interventions and needs assessment aimed at informing proposals writing:
- Bourj Hammoud
- BML (specific areas not yet identified)
- South Governorate (Saida district)
- West Beqaa (specific areas not yet identified)
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The data collectors will work under the supervision of the MEAL Coordinator and of the Project Manager.
In the framework of the project funded by AICS in Bourj Hammoud, they will:
* support the project outreach by conducting surveys aimed at identifying Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (approximately July) that will benefit from the intervention
* conduct the Post Distribution Monitoring (approximately November).
Data collectors are expected to work on the field through door-to-door data collection in Bourj Hammoud and, if necessary, by collecting data through phone interviews.
In the framework of the needs assessments that will be launched with the purpose of informing proposal writing, data collectors are expected to work in one of the following governorate: BML, South (Saida district) and Beqaa (West Beqaa district) conducting qualitative and quantitative surveys, Key Informant Interviews and Focus Group Discussions. Data collectors will work under the supervision of the MEAL Coordinator.
MAIN TASKS and RESPONSIBILITIES:
They will be assigned the following tasks:
- Conduct door-to-door interviews with MSMEs pre-identified by Cesvi in Bourj Hammoud or referred during the work on the field
- Attend individual appointments on the field or by phone with potential beneficiaries and relevant stakeholders to administer questionnaires/surveys
- Attend needed info sessions and focus group discussions Cesvi will organize and administer questionnaires/surveys
- Collect filled-in surveys and assign grades based on Cesvi's instructions
- Translate questionnaire questions from English to Arabic simultaneously
Requirements
Knowledge/Experience
- Applicants must have a good knowledge of or familiarity with data collection tools, including:
Kobo/ODK/ONA
Quantitative and qualitative questionnaires/Pre-tests/Post-tests/Post Distribution Monitoring questionnaires
- In addition, applicants must be skilled in the use of Spreadsheets, Word processing, calendar, e-mail and data entry. They should also be able to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing and to establish positive relationships with people at all levels; to show sensitivity and integrity.

Fluent in Arabic and English.
