(Re-advertisement) MEDIA MONITORING / PART-TIME - Tunisia

The Arab Foundation for Freedom and Equality (AFEMENA) is Looking for a researcher/consultant to monitor the media discourse in Tunisia regarding HIV, LGBT reporting, Sexual Health, Key Populations (sex-workers, drug users…). The research also includes monitoring public statements of decision makers on the above subjects. The data collection will follow the matrix of media monitoring template created by (AFEMENA) to   guide the monitoring process in print, online, TV and radio.

The consultant must be highly familiar with the Tunisian context and media trends and have the strong knowledge regarding media ethics and LGBTQI+ in the region.

Reports to:

AFEMENA’s Media and Communications Coordinator.

Competencies and Skills:

We are looking for candidates that have:

• Experience in researching, data collection, data entry and analysis.
• Considerable knowledge about HIV, LGBTQI+ reporting, Sexual health, and Key populations (sex-workers, drug users.)
• Excellent communication skills in written formats (Arabic)
• A keen eye for organization and details.
• At least one year of related research experience is preferred.
• Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines.

• 2nd Semester of 2021 (from the 1st of July 2021 to the 12th of December 2021)

  The consultant is expected to submit a report that:
   

Monitors Sexual Health related to Youth, Key Populations (sex worker, drug
users…) and any public statement issued by decision makers related to the mentioned subjects.

Deadlines:

At the end of this period, the consultant is required to provide a narrative report of the media monitoring activity, respecting following deadline:

Deadline: report must be submitted on December 12th, 2021. This report covers monitoring of media content published between July 1 and December 2nd, 2021.
