Background

One year since the Blast, and thousands residing in Beirut are still feeling unsafe and suffer the aftermath. With little progress done on the investigation, and little effort made by the government for reconstruction and recovery, thousands are still in need, including for livelihood, shelter, and access to basic services.

As the one-year anniversary approached, Oxfam plans to produce a one minute animated video that highlights the need of the population, Oxfam’s response, and what comes next.

Objectives

1. To highlight the consequences of the blast that are still being suffered by the residents of Beirut, one year on.
2. To highlight the different needs of the population.
3. To highlight Oxfam’s response and future plans.

1. Oxfam’s affiliates
2. Oxfam’s donors
3. Oxfam’s partners

Job Description

The consultant will need to develop:

• A one minute animated video based on a script provided by Oxfam.
• 10 social media graphics based on the video and previous Oxfam reports.

The consultant is required to:

1. Discuss the script with Oxfam
2. Provide Oxfam with a video script and adapt it based on the team’s comments
3. Execute the video
4. Design the 10 images
5. Deliver a first draft by July 25, and a final draft by July 28

Qualifications

• Availability to start immediately
• Familiar with the context of the country and the Beirut blast
• Ability to produce an animated video
• Culturally sensitive
• Preferably has experience working in humanitarian context
• Ability to be delivered by July 25

Duration: Before July 28,2021

Deliverables: One animated video (60-90 seconds) and 10 graphics

Pricing to be provided per product/ service.

Workplan will be agreed on with Oxfam once the contract is signed.
