Lebanon Head of Programs

Basmeh and Zeitooneh is a registered Lebanese organization, committed to serving refugees and vulnerable communities in Lebanon, through four community centers across the country. The organization runs educational, relief, livelihoods, and protection programs, and aims to serve as an inclusive and supportive focal point for the entire community.

Job Purpose: The head of programs is responsible for ensuring the implementation of Lebanon's programmatic strategy, developing programs strategy,  ensuring quality implementation of the programs, healthy partners, and donors relations.

Major Activities :

• Along with the country, the director develops the country strategy based on the context and needs assessments conducted, and in line with the HQ Strategy and guidance.
• Leads Lebanon program managers team for the development of new project\programs ideas for new or existing programs in consultation and the support of the regional technical managers and the CDO.
• Responsible for securing the programs related funding for  Lebanon operation by submitting grant proposals to international grant-making organizations, partners, and donors.  
• Leads the effort for developing the relevant applications to secure funding to respond to emergency situations with the support of the HQ.  
• In Lebanon, Manages end-to-end donor relationships, from guiding and leading the partnerships and grants team on the proposal development, leads them in contract management, till the closing of the project.
• Guide the evaluation of the partnership effectiveness and possible future collaborations and its importance strategically in Lebanon, with the support and the guidance of the CDO.
• Supervises country program managers, validating the suitability, relevance, and feasibility of the programs and the approaches, with the support of the regional technical managers.
• Accountable for the program implementation outcomes.
• Oversees and supports the grants and partnership team with the kick-off meetings, in which new programs as/projects are handed out to the implementation team. 
• High-level coordination with the country team in developing and executing programs.
• Approves Lebanon programs budget.    
• Consolidates from program managers and the support of the operations manager and the supervision of the CD, the Lebanon implementation plan based on the country strategy
• Provides assistance to direct reports in the resolution of important operational issues.
• Attending meetings with the development department as necessary.
