Nutrition Officer

The nutrition Officer will be responsible for following up on the implementation of all nutrition activities, IYCF and malnutrition, at the national level as well as linking with the IYCF national committee and the nutrition working group.

Responsibilities and Essential Functions

  • Responsible for following up on the implementation of all IYCF and malnutrition related activities at the national level
  • Coordination with different stakeholders (donors, Nutrition sector, IYCF committee, organizations…) to ensure smooth and effective implementation of all the activities
  • Provide support to IOCC H&N department as needed (preparation of Procurement and payment requests, MOUs, transport requests…)
  • Oversee all the trainings related to IYCF and malnutrition and conduct trainings whenever needed
  • Provide suggestions to implement the activities effectively
  • Oversee the IYCF national referral mechanism in coordination with the IYCF coordinator
  • Create, follow up and maintain comprehensive project documentation, plans and reports
  • Represent IOCC at the relevant IYCF and nutrition meetings
  • Ensure timely reporting of the activities
  • Perform other duties as required or assigned

  • Good organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated and initiative taker. 
  • Good report writing skills.
  • Dynamic personality.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Fluency in written and spoken Arabic and English; French is a plus.

Experience:

  •  Minimum 3 years of work experience.
  • Previous experience in IYCF and nutrition programs
  • Previous experience in coordination and management
  • Experience working for an NGO preferred

Working Conditions

Will be base at IOCC office in Beirut with visits to the field when needed.
