STL M&E Consultant

Objective of the consultancy

International Alert is seeking a qualified consultant to work on coordinating with STL partners and the NFE Centres in Tripoli, Shatila and Bekaa through conducting regular field visits and supporting in the monitoring and evaluation process of the activities implemented.

 

Under the supervision of the Safe to Learn Project Manager, the STL M&E consultant will facilitate the implementation of the STL project by supporting the operational and technical implementation of the International Alert project activities.

 

Scope of work

 

Monthly Meetings and field visits with partners staff and educators to support the coordination of the project ensuring quality delivery of the activities with a focus on preventing violence against children.

 

Work with the education and Protection team, ensuring safeguarding and child protection principles are mainstreamed and respected throughout the Project

 

Support the STL project manager in the logistics related to the implementation of STL activities and events

 

Conducting M&E assessments with partners NFE centres (example FGDs with children and caregivers, KIIs with educators, community members and stakeholders …) and supporting in the analysis of the data to inform project implementation

 

Supporting the STL Project Manager in reporting and data management.

 

 

Other:

Take active measures to address equality and inclusion issues, particularly relating to gender, special needs and learning difficulties, in program as well as operational activities.

Ensure the highest stands of accountability through ensuring good communication and information sharing within and outside the organisation.

Be aware of, understand and comply with all International Alert’s policies and procedures.

 

Essential

University degree in a relevant domain.

Demonstratable experience in monitoring & Evaluation

Knowledge of Education in Emergencies, Child Protection and Prevention of Gender Based Violence minimum standards.

Knowledge of basic principles of teaching, positive discipline, children’s development and learning.

Excellent interpersonal, nonviolent communication and listening skills.

Motivation and energy, pro-active and willing to share and discuss ideas.

In-depth knowledge of the Lebanese context with regards to children and young people, parenting, non-formal education, psycho-social support, and work with refugee children

Good knowledge on conducting M&E assessment tools, collecting , cleaning  and analyzing data

Demonstrated experience of ensuring safeguarding in projects.

 

Timeframe

Anticipated 45-50 days between 1 September and 31 December 2021

 

Experience required:

5-10 years

Languages - English: Excellent. Arabic: Excellent.

Period: All deliverables must be completed by 31 December 2021.
