Terre des hommes- Lausanne is seeking for 2 qualified Community Facilitators for social behavioral change based in Tyre with frequent travels to Saida, Nabatieh, Bent Jbeil for the project “Strengthening CP and GBV response services in underserved areas in South and Nabatieh within the framework of the Emergency response plan” for 6 months.
The Community Facilitator for Social Behavioral Change is in charge of planning, organizing, facilitating, coordinating 10 Social Behavioral Change Community Initiatives during the project cycle in cooperation with partners, local actors and other stakeholders, ensuring the proper raising awareness and dissemination of CP/GBV messages according to Qudwa Communication Plan
Under the management of the Child Protection Project Manager, the Community Facilitator for Social Behavioral Change will perform the following tasks:
Planning and Implementation of Activities:
- Participate in ToT organized by trained Tdh staff.
- Deliver trainings related to Qudwa Plan to local partners and community groups.
- Design, Plan, Prepare, Organize, Facilitate, Coordinate 10 Social Behavioral Change Community Initiatives.
- Provide training, guidelines for the execution of activities and dissemination of messages. Ensure the participation of children and youth in the activities.
- Ensure the engagement, participation and ownership of local partners, public actors and communities in the initiatives.
- Mobilize resources and contribution for the implementation of activities.
- Use the existing tools for the initiatives but also contribute in creating new tools/curriculums related to activities.
- Ensure constant protection monitoring.
- Identify and refer cases to Tdh’s teams.
- Develop a sustainability plan related to SBC.
- Contribute in communication and visibility activities.
- Contribute in capitalization of the initiatives and develop linkages and connections with other organizations who are developing similar activities.
- Evaluate the impact of activities and adjusting according to feedback and needs.
- Develop complaining and feedback mechanisms.
- Ensure that the messages and activities would be multi applied.
- Ensure an efficient collaboration and coordination with external consultants for the activities.
- Deliver the activities on time, based on available budget and ensure the quality, evaluation, monitoring and learning practices.
Reporting:
- Regularly provide field reports, protection monitoring reports and reports related to project progress to your line manager.
- Assist in analysing the data collected and reports both quantitatively and qualitatively.
- Provide information about progress when required.
- Report and support the constant evaluation process about the impact of activities on children/youth.
- Ensure a daily proper recording of data (# of children, youth, adults participating, activities delivered, etc).
- Provide official and on time report for any security and safety incident.
Communication and Coordination:
- Ensure close coordination and update with the case workers and community mobilizers.
- Contribute to create a positive atmosphere interacting constructively with colleagues and children/youth and caregivers.
- Ensure the alignment with Tdh’s Partnership Framework and especially guidelines concerning the approach with local partners.
- Communicate efficiently with technical team and managers conveying to them ideas and new proposals according to daily observation in dealing with children.
- Participate with in donor visits and promote proper preparation and implementation.
- Communicate with the stakeholders, partners and municipalities through regular visits.
Organisational Policies:
- Respect the Tdh’s Global Code of Conduct (GCD), Child Safeguarding Policy (CSP), Prevention from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse Policy (PSEA) and Policy on Gender and Diversity and its principles of child protection, ensuring the policy’s implementation and prompt notification of the CSP/PSEA Focal Point with any information regarding potential breaches of the policy.
- Is aware of, abide by and promote the practices and values set out in all other Tdh policies and procedures such as the Internal Regulations, Standard Operating Procedures and other policies.
- Participates actively in weekly and monthly coordination meeting with the line managers.
- Ensures Do No Harm analysis are carried out and the principle of Do No Harm is observed and upheld in all the engagements of the FPSS Facilitator.
- Undertakes all other duties that may be requested by the line-manager and that are compatible with the job.
- Supports the other teams and the line manager.
Job Qualifications:
- Academic Background: Bachelor Degree in relevant field (social work…). Master’s degree is a plus but not mandatory.
- Experience:
- Experience in organizing community initiatives (at least 2 years)
- Experience in communicating and coordinating with local partners and actors (at least 2 years).
- Technical Competencies:
