- RI’s Psychiatrist will receive referrals from RI’s Clinical Psychologists, social workers and other NGOs.
- He/she will be responsible for evaluating, diagnosing and treating patients with mental health disorders. In addition, he/she will prescribe psychiatric medication,
order tests and/or refer patients according to their needs.
- He/she will follow up with beneficiaries to ensure that they are responding positively to treatment and make amendments to the treatment plan when
necessary.
- He/she will conduct his/her consultations in RI’s supported PHC and will provide community-based visits to patients with limited physical mobility that are unable
to access RI’s supported PHC.
- He/she will be responsible for documenting the relevant data by filling out an assessment or follow-up form for each patient visit.
- He/she will coordinate with RI’s Clinical Psychologists when necessary and share relevant information concerning the patients.
- Demonstrate a high level of professionalism while working or coordinating with beneficiaries, their family members and all internal or external parties. Any incident
or work-related conflict should be immediately reported to the MH Coordinator and/or Program Manager. The Job holder should avoid going into any work-related communication which might jeopardize the relationship of RI with any party
- The job holder should demonstrate a high level of cultural sensitivity,professionalism, politeness and objectivity when dealing with the beneficiaries
under all circumstances.
