IT technical support officer

Duties and Responsibilities:

The IT officer will be responsible for the smooth running of computer systems and ensuring that users get maximum benefits from them:

• Install and configure computer hardware operating systems and applications
• monitor and maintain computer systems and networks
• troubleshoot system and network problems, diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults and applications problems
• Ensure security and privacy of network and computer systems
• replace parts as required
• provide support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports
• support the roll-out of new applications
• set up new users' accounts and profiles and deal with password issues
• respond within agreed time limits to call-outs
• test and evaluate new technology
• Conduct electrical safety checks on computer equipment.

Qualifications:

• Strong knowledge in computer networking and hardware;
• At least 3 years of experience in computer science and Information technology
• Strong problem-solving skills 
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
