Main Role
The CoE Manager is responsible to build the LRC CVA center of excellency capabilities that can provide strategic advantage. The CoE Manager will work to establish the appropriate and relevant governance and processes in pushing forward advocacy efforts for Cash and Voucher assistance modalities.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties
I. Knowledge & learning management
- Standardizing learning guidelines / templates (Developing case studies, best practices, videos, and other instructional materials.)
- Compile CVA related documents/resources for publishing in the “Cash hub’ MENA page
- Development of differentiating capabilities such as CVA standards, tools, procedures, and advocacy activities in the region
- Prepare and facilitate capacity building in CVA;
- With awareness sessions, face to face trainings, simulations, etc.
- With remote support in key areas such as integrating cash feasibility and market assessment into existing assessment methodologies, developing the tools for CVA, and training relevant staff
- Document the cash preparedness process, and draft case studies to profile the work of LRC highlighting good practices and lessons learned.
II. Technical content contextualization
- Create regional scenarios for use in regional trainings, simulations and workshops
- Compile and standardize applicable CVA resources (e.g. protocols, software, packages for training etc.)
- Supervise access to the materials linked with the cash hub (MENA page)
- Develop and implement CVA preparedness plans of action
- Coordinate with the PMER team on mainstreaming and aligning all developed guidelines and procedures with the already existing ones
- Systemize the collection and dissemination of lessons learned
III. Advocacy and networking
- Implement of advocacy activities, and development activities related to CVA policies mainly in the MENA region
- Identifying the key obstacles to mainstreaming and scaling up CVA in the region
- Documenting success stories of CVA in the region with relevant National Societies
- Support in maintaining up to date specific advocacy messages reflecting on policy horizon scanning in the MENA region
Function Specific Experience
- Minimum of 4 years’ technical experience in Cash and Vouchers programming
Industry Related Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in the Disaster Management/disaster response within the humanitarian sector.
