Protection Mobile Unit driver - Majdal Anjar

Qudra 2 Programme in Lebanon

’Qudra – Resilience for Syrian refugees, IDPs and host communities in response to the Syrian and Iraqi crises’ is a regional action co-financed by the EU Regional Trust Fund in Response to the Syrian Crisis, the Madad Fund, the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), and the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID) seeking to strengthen the resilience of Syrian refugees, IDPs and host communities in response to the Syrian and Iraqi crises. The Program launched in June 2016 has been jointly implemented by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, Expertise France (EF) and AECID in Program partner countries of Jordan, Lebanon, Turkey, and North Iraq. 

In Lebanon, EF implemented Qudra between 2016 and 2019 in close collaboration with the Ministry of Social Affairs (MoSA). Currently, the two partners are implementing Qudra 2, another three-year Program, with a continuation of activities to be delivered in selected Social Development Centers (SDCs) and through Mobile Units, activities targeting children and adults.

 

Expertise France in collaboration with the Ministry of Social Affairs is seeking to hire a Mobile Unit driver to drive and maintain a truck-mounted protection mobile unit in Majdal Anjar.

Expertise France encourages applications from candidates from Majdal Anjar.  

The driver will be placed under the legal authority of Expertise France but will work under the daily supervision of the SDC Director in Majdal Anjar and in close coordination with the Qudra 2 NGO partner operating in this geographic area.

Tasks:

  • Close coordination with SDC director and NGO project manager
  •  Driving and transporting the mobile unit team to their desired location based on approved MoSA mobile unit mapping
  • To complete the Mobile unit logbook, ensure tools, furniture, generator, accessories, first aid kit & spare tires are kept in the Mobile unit and are in good condition.
  • Carry on weekly mechanical check.
  • Log official trips, daily mileage, fuel consumption.
  • To make sure all necessary official documents are present in the Mobile unit and up to date.
  • Follow the driving rules.
  • Inform SDC director (if applicable) in case of any accident in which the vehicle is involved.
