The Graphic designer will have the following key responsibilities::
- Designing creative layouts for presentations, brochures, newsletters, reports, NGO documents and communication letters.Liaise with suppliers for printing and delivery when applicable.
- Designing the press releases and visuals for social media mediums in coordination with relevant teams
- Create, design and manage the content for the D4C’s website, social media channels or any other relevant form of communication.
- Ensure harmonized and consistent layout including fonts and visuals
- Ensure that artwork is well edited
- Ensure that the designs are in line with D4C design guidelines
- Study design briefs and determine requirements
- Schedule projects and define budget constraints
- Conceptualize visuals based on requirements
- Prepare rough drafts and present ideas
- Develop illustrations, logos and other designs using software or by hand
- Work with communication officer, copywriters and executive director to produce final designs
- Test graphics across various media
- Amend designs after feedback
- Ensure final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and on-brand
- Support D4C’s teams in developing content and visuals for various events, documents and publications.
D4C (Design for Communities NGO) is an associated foundation based in Beirut that brings together designers and professionals from a variety of backgrounds to engage in community projects in different countries. The interdisciplinary platform connects architects, landscape & urban designers, planners, environmental, climate, mechanical & civil engineers through a diverse portfolio of projects operating at the highest levels of innovation in the field.
D4C’s mission is to provide an inclusive design hub that brings together the creative and innovative community to engage in social and environmental impact-driven initiatives.

Requirements:
- 1 or 2+ years of experience in graphic design
- A strong portfolio
- Familiarity with design software and technologies (such as InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
- A keen eye for aesthetics and details
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work methodically and meet deadlines
- Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts or related field is a plus

Terms and conditions
- The position is a consultancy job for a six months period, depending on the employee’s performance, may be offered a longer term, and is renewable on mutual agreement.
- The salary will be paid on a monthly basis.
- The position is based in Beirut, Lebanon.
- Working hours will depend on the tasks at hand and will be agreed upon by both parties. The successful candidate must be willing to work extra hours and on weekends, when necessary.
- The successful candidate is expected to start working by the end of October 2021 at the latest.
