Brief information on the project

Strengthening the influence of Palestinian refugees on their living conditions (PART)

The project is part of the Supporting Palestinian Refugees (SPR) Program that is implemented in Gaza, Jordan, Lebanon and the West Bank. It contributes to the program's objective (to improve the living conditions of Palestinian refugees in the region) by strengthening the influence of Palestinian refugees for improving their living conditions in a protracted violent conflict on individual and structural level.

In the frame of the cooperation with LPDC, GIZ supports the capacity of LPDC in order to strengthen its outreach to youth and to foster a dialogue between the LPDC and the Palestinian refugee youth. Thereby youth concerns will be considered within the internal policy dialogue. GIZ supports LPDC in its development and implementation of the National Palestinian Youth Strategy in Lebanon.

Al Ard Project :

Al Ard project aims in principle to open up new opportunities for Palestinian refugees in Tyre, and mainly the three camps of Rashidieh, Burj Al Shamali and Al buss in addition to the 12 gatherings and the hosting Lebanese community to engage in new opportunities for economic production/livelihood in different initiatives relating to protecting nature, agricultural production and striving for social justice in the context of Tyre and to insure their sustainability in the longer term. It also aims to develop mechanisms of sharing resources (knowledge/physical assets), collaboration on different socio-economic initiatives and enhance networks of solidarity/activism amongst them  and the Lebanese community on causes that are common to the different initiatives. Moreover, it is necessary to shed light on the necessity to our communities of being productive and not only consumers.

The overall objective would lead to the improvement of people's income by having access to production forces.

Requested Materials :

Automatic Rhus (sumac) Peeler and Thyme Grinder - Qty 1 

Powered by an electric belts-driven motor 10hp. Separate continuously the Rhus from seed also grinds the thyme and separatr the sticks from leaves. 

Made of stainless steel 304.  

Production: 150-200kg/hour. 

Manufactured according to the European safety rules.
