POSITION OBJECTIVE:
The IT technical support officer is responsible for monitoring and maintaining the computer systems and networks of CARITAS. He may install and configure computer systems, diagnose hardware and software faults and solve technical and applications problems, either over the phone or in person in and off site.
DUTIES
- Install and configure computer hardware operating systems and applications
- Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks
- Provide support either face-to-face, phone call, site visits
- Troubleshoot system and network problems and diagnose and solve hardware or software faults
- Replace hardware parts as required
- Provide support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports
- Support the roll-out of new applications
- Set up new users' accounts and profiles
- Respond within agreed time limits to call-outs
- Work continuously on a task until completion (or escalates it, if appropriate)
- Prioritize and manage many open cases at one time
- Conduct electrical safety checks on computer equipment
- Troubleshoot LAN and Landlines Cabling issues
- Troubleshoot Surveillance Cameras issues
