SAWC PSS Social Worker

Roles and Responsibilities:                   

Program:

Deliver center based or mobile psychosocial activities to children, and train partner skills for caregivers.

Participate in supporting volunteers in the organization of psychosocial activities for children and caregivers.

Conduct Parenting skills sessions for caregivers.

Deliver life Skills training for adolescents when needed.

Identify requiring children case management and ensure safe referral to the case management team.

Collect daily data about the activities organized and ensure that all the relevant forms are duly filled.

Participate in weekly, monthly reporting, plan meetings to ensure adherence to standards of care, quality PSS and case management, and follow reporting requirements.

Work in close collaboration with the Senior PSS Worker, case workers and other Protection Program staff.

Raise any concern or challenge to the Senior PSS Worker or SAWC team supervisor.

Work in compliance and respect the principles of humanitarian protection and confidentiality, and work with refugee and host sensitive communities.

Conduct outreach assessments to identify cases and to act in case of urgent referral.

Conduct PSS night shift activities on a weekly basis.

Prepare and implement big events and campaigns.

 

Other:

Report promptly concerns or incidents to MF management and liaise with community leaders and other external parties as required to maintain/enhance the security environment for MF programs.

Engage with the coaching and training support provided to MF through IRC.

Ensure activities run in a timely manner to ensure the successful implementation of programs.

Other duties as assigned by the supervisor to enable and develop MF programs.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

Education:

Technical diploma in social science or pedagogy preferable

Work Experience:

Minimum 1 year of work experience

Experience in working with children and organizing activities

Experience in working in NGO is a plus

Experience in working in a cross cultural environment preferable 

Languages:

Fluent in written and spoken Arabic, English speaking is a plus

Computer Proficiency:

Proficient in Word and excel
