Field Officer

General objectives and tasks:

General Objectives:

  • Empower Job Seekers with Disability to build their careers, engage in economic development and contribute to the recovery of affected businesses.
  • Strengthen youth with disability in overcoming physical and educational barriers, limiting them to compete in job markets.
  • Economic development of local affected businesses while embedding a diverse and inclusive culture.

 

 

Tasks:

The Field Officer shall deliver the following services in the course of this assignment:

  • Coordinate with the Project Manager to develop and execute project activities on field (Assessments, Distributions, Sessions, Supervision).
  • Ensure the understanding of various community members’ needs and coordinating with arcenciel’s units on-the effective and efficient provision of services.
  • Conduct field assessment and outreach job seekers with disability based on a set of criteria defined by the project.
  • Conduct a clear mapping of SMEs in the area affected by the blast or covered by the project.
  • Inform the SMEs about the purpose of the project and the activities in which they can be involved.
  • Follow up on the accessibility work to be done in the selected SMEs.
  • Follow up on the field activities in coordination with the Field Coordinator.
  • Write a report about the activities conducted and record its related documentation (pictures, attendance sheets, etc.).
  • Support in guaranteeing the quality and quantity of material at field according to the set plan.
  • Ensure that the projects’ activities are appropriately communicated and organized with appropriate local authorities and non-governmental sides working in same operation area (if any).
  • Participate in setting project work-plan with project team.
  • Organize and submit field reports to the project management.
  • Monitor field work while guaranteeing the implementation of activities based on the signed agreements, set plans and the organizational standards.
  • Record beneficiaries’ feedback at field level and report any raised issue to the project manager.
  • File, document, and report work progress to project management.
  • Maintain and assist the emergency interventions.
  • Any other related duties, as assigned by the project manager.

 

Position requirements:

Professional Skills:

  • Proficiency in the community service techniques and practices.
  • Basic knowledge in project implementation.
  • Knowledge in needs assessment and outreach techniques.
  • Knowledge in Washington Group questions.
  • Understanding of Disability Inclusion best practices.
  • Previous exposure to Lebanese communities and people with disability.
  • Good understanding of arcenciel’s culture and spirit.

Working schedule: Monday till Friday from 09:00 am till 05:00 pm.

Contract type: 11 Months.
