Project Background:
The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Lebanon Trade and investment Facilitation (TIF) Activity will facilitate the export of Lebanese goods and services to generate foreign exchange through investments and business enabling environment reform that simultaneously promote job creation, income generation, and improved livelihoods throughout the country. TIF has three objectives: 1) increased exports of Lebanese goods and services, 2) investment facilitation leading to increased domestic investment, and 3) improved business and investment enabling environment.
Purpose
TIF is looking for 2 Interns, one to support its Grants Team and another to support its Business Development Team. Interns will be tasked for 40 hours per week
Grants Tasks
- Support the grants team with screening,
- Assist in collecting and reviewing grantees’ legal documents,
- Assist in maintaining TIF Project’s databases (SharePoint and TAMIS up to date,
- Conduct follow-up and site visits to grantees’ facilities and attend project activities.
Business Development Tasks
- Support with outreach activities
- Assist TIF team of Business Development Specialists in following up with partners and grants implementation
- Conduct site visits and do surveys for potential partners and their supported entities
- Collect data needed for grants team upon request.
- Prepare reports upon request.
- Participate in the preparation of workshops and webinars.
Qualifications:
- BA in Business Administration, or any other relevant field
- Ability to work with a team.
- Sound judgement
- Good business acumen
- Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Strong communication skills - both written and oral – in English and Arabic.
- Excellent MS Office skills.
